The Apogee Electronics Symphony I/O MKII Connect Series Pro Tools Audio Interface with 16 Microphone Preamps and 16 Digital Outputs brings high-performance A/D conversion, 16 high-gain mic preamps, and 16 channels of digital outputs to your Pro Tools HD, HDX, or HD Native system. Its premium sonic performance, sample-accurate delay compensation, Mini-DigiLink connectivity, and BNC loop sync and wordclock I/O make it a solid choice for pro-level producers as well as engineers in broadcast, post-production, studio, and live stage applications.
By utilizing Apogee's Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture, the interface delivers up to 72 dB of gain in 1 dB increments while maintaining ultralow noise, virtually nonexistent distortion, and noiseless gain adjustment. Its analog inputs include 16 channels of balanced inputs on DB25 connectors. Additional DB25, TOSLINK optical, and RCA coaxial jacks provide connectivity for 16-channel AES/EBU and ADAT outputs and 2-channel S/PDIF I/O. The Symphony I/O Mk II features an ultrahigh-fidelity DAC and headphone amplifier with Apogee's Constant Current Drive technology, which dynamically compensates for nonlinearities of any connected headphones to provide massive power while maintaining extremely low distortion and linear frequency response.
Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture
Apogee's Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture introduces a mic preamp circuit that is dynamically optimized at different gain settings to provide superior bandwidth, ultralow noise, and nonexistent distortion across an expansive gain range of 0 to 72 dB. Digitally controlled analog switches shift the gears of the circuit at each gain setting to ensure the best sound and performance.
Transparent Conversion
The Connect Series module offers high-performance A/D conversion designed for extreme audio clarity and sonic transparency at up to 24-bit / 192 kHz resolution.
